  • It’s best to have your own to practice on at home, but if you’re a total beginner, get in touch first! I can advise you on the right size and type of guitar (electric vs. acoustic) to suit your goals and budget.

  • I operate out of two convenient locations:

    • Hobart: Centralized for city workers and students.

    • Forcett: Serving the Southern Beaches and surrounding areas. Specific addresses and parking info are provided upon booking.

  • I welcome students from Year 3 (approx. 8 years old) all the way through to seniors in their 70s and 80s. It is truly never too late to start.

  • Standard sessions are 30 or 60 minutes. For younger children, 30 minutes is usually ideal for focus, while adults and advanced students usally often prefer 30 minutes some choose to dive deep into theory and technique and take the full 60 minutes.

  • Absolutely. I have extensive experience preparing students for Hobart Conservatorium auditions and AMEB exams. We focus on technical proficiency, sight-reading, and performance mindset.

  • While I specialize in Rock, Jazz, Blues, and Funk, I also teach Fingerstyle and Percussive Guitar as well as Country. If there is a specific song or genre you love, we can build your curriculum around it.
